Unibanco - União de Bancos Brasileiros
Unibanco is the third-largest Brazilian private bank, with more than 80 years of history and activities in the market. The bank is present in every segment of the financial market, offering a broad and complete range of services to a diversified customer base.
Pioneerism, modernity and innovation have always been a mainstay in Unibanco's history. Over the past decade these traits were even more present, having resulted in significant growth rates. Acquisitions, strategic alliances and organic growth resulting from differentiated products and state of the art technology strengthened Unibanco's leadership position in Brazil's financial market. The conglomerate oxygenized and simplified structures, improving decision-making speed, and sought synergies that have allowed for business growth, process improvements, budgeting discipline and more efficient communication. Unibanco's operations are organized into four main businesses: • Retail - serves individuals of all income levels (except Private Banking) and companies with annual sales up to R$150 million. It also operates in the consumer finance and credit card segment. • Wholesale - with a strategy that blends regional knowledge and industry-specific expertise, this area caters to companies with annual sales greater than R$ 150 million and institutional investors. It has consistently ranked among the industry leaders in mergers and acquisitions, project finance and fixed and equity income markets. • Insurance Group - Unibanco AIG Insurance and Pensions (Joint Venture with AIG) offers individuals and companies life insurance, auto insurance, pension and retirement plans, in addition to a variety of related products and services. • Wealth Management - offers investment products via Unibanco Asset Management to individuals and institutional investors and covers high net worth individuals in the private banking segment.
